Attaching documents to a transaction
This activity allows you to specify the source file name and the source path from where the file must be retrieved for uploading and attaching. Tell me more.
Select the “Attach Documents” link in the main page.
Note: The “Attach Documents” link is available only in those pages where documents are allowed to be attached to the transaction.
The “Attach Documents” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Transaction Type |
The type of the transaction to which the document must be attached. |
Code |
The code of the transaction. |
Files |
The name of the source document that is already attached to the transaction. |
Path |
The path of the document, which indicates the folder in the repository where the document was uploaded and attached to the transaction. |
To detach the file from the transaction
Check the box along the hyperlinked file name and click the “Dissociate” pushbutton.
To view the contents of a file
Click the hyperlinked file name under the “Files” column.
To attach documents to the transaction
Select the “Attach Documents” link to upload or attach documents to the transaction.
The system displays the following field:
Current Open Folder |
The folder to which documents can be uploaded and then attached to the transaction. |
The system retrieves the sub-folders of the “Current Open Folder” under the “Sub Folders” column, and the files already uploaded to the current open folder in the “Files” column.
To associate files in the current open folder to the transaction
Check the box along the hyperlinked file name under the “Files” column and click the “Associate” pushbutton.
To delete or remove a file from the current open folder in the repository
Click the “Delete” link provided next to the specific file.
Note: You cannot however delete a file that is already associated to a transaction.
To navigate between the folders in the repository
Click the hyperlinked sub-folder name under the “Sub Folders” column to traverse to a sub-folder.
Click the “Go Up” pushbutton to traverse to the parent folder of the folder.
To create new sub-folders in the current folder in the repository
Enter the following field in the “Create New Sub Folders:” group box:
Folder Name |
The folder that must be created in the current open folder. The length of this field is as permitted by the operating system. |
Click the “Create” pushbutton.
To upload files into the current open folder
Under “Upload the file into the current Open folder”, click the “Browse” pushbutton to search for the file to be uploaded.
Click the “Upload File” pushbutton.
To view the documents that are already attached
Select the “View Attached” link provided at the bottom of the page to view the documents that are already attached to the transaction in the current open folder.
